Caerphilly Castle

In 1991, Cadw commissioned the research, design and construction of four replica engines of war. Completed in 1992, these are on permanent display at the vast thirteenth century castle of Caerphilly in Mid Glamorgan. These represent the first serious attempt in Britain to recreate full-size, operational siege engines.
