Locks have always been a source of interest and wonder to Nerds with mechanical inclinations.
I'm not a lock collector, but I have recently acquired a couple of interesting ones.
Paul Prescott's
Paul is a UK locksmith who remanufactures keys for antique Bramah locks on a regular basis.
This is an interesting site for lock collectors, with many excellent photographs of safe locks.
Surely You're Joking Mr Feynman

Richard Feynman's first volume of autobiography isn't a book on locksmithing,
but it's a superb book anyway.
Feynman was not only one of the world's greatest physicists,
but he also had an ability to communicate and amuse on almost any topic.
The locksmithing is in one classic chapter, where he describes his wartime experience at Los Alamos,
learning to open the dial combination locks on safes used to store atom bomb secrets.
I'll expand the sections above, as I find more useful links.
