Just some boring painted MDF, but they're a nice shape and they keep Pat's TV off the floor.

Mirror

This was made as a house-warming present. Pat, being American, is a fan of Gustav Stickley's furniture designs.

In typical Stickley style, the mirror frame is made of oak with an ammonia-fumed shellac finish

• Plans for this mirror came from the excellent book The Furniture of Gustav Stickley
  There are a great many books on the subject, and several that include plans to build reproductions, but this is by far the best that I've seen.

Curtain Rails

More of Stickley's influence.

The curtain rails are a copy of a design seen in a decorating magazine. They're square-section ash, with ebonised oak pegs to hold the rails into the brackets.
